BEST VITAMINS FOR YOUR SKIN.

Vitamins are essential for a healthy body and skin. We derive most of our essential vitamins from our diet, and using skin care fortified with essential vitamins helps to boost and enhance on the results. Here are the top vitamins for your skin health and looking younger for longer.

Vitamin A – Powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and helps regulate cellular regeneration. Different forms of vitamin A have been used in skin care for some time now, such as retinyl palmitate and retinol. Retinyl palmitate is used primarily in anti-aging dreams being an excellent antioxidant and rejuvenating ingredient. Suitable for most people, even sensitive skin. Retinol , a stronger form of vitamin A, has become very popular in Australia because it has the ability to reverse sun damage and reduce the appearance of premature aging in the skin. It has also been used for some time to help reduce the inflammation in adult onset acne. Most of the Sothys intensive anti-aging treatments and anti-aging creams have some form of vitamin A, and the Retinol Dermobooster is recommended for people who need to see faster and more dramatic results.

Vitamin B3 – Antioxidant and very effective in reducing inflammation in the skin. More recently it has been found to help brighten pigmentation and rejuvenate a sun-damaged skin. Originally it has been used for problematic skin because it helps to regulate sebum (skin oil) but today it is mostly recommended for ageing skin and skin prone to flushing, such as couperose. Found in most of the Sothys intensive anti-aging treatments and skin care, in the Clarte & Comfort range, the W+ Brightening range, the Hydra3 and Grade 1-4 anti-aging serums.

Vitamin B5 – Also known as pantothenic acid, is excellent for reducing inflammation and has the ability to repair damaged skin which is useful for hydration and would healing. Excellent for dry and sensitive skin. Found in the Sothys Spa sensitive treatment, Comfort Cleanser and Lotion and the Spa Sensitive skin range.

Vitamin C – The best of the best skin vitamins, if there was only one serum/cream you could afford, it would be a Vitamin C serum. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant, helps to even out the skin tone, brighten pigmentation, stimulate collagen production (excellent for firming/anti-aging and scarring), reduce inflammation and strengthen capillary walls, assist wound healing and reduce infection therefore excellent for problematic skin. Look for a water soluble form of vitamin C that has been stabilized/encapsulated and is in a good delivery system. Oil soluble vitamin C is fine on aging skin however younger and oily skin can sometimes break out. Sothys use water soluble, encapsulated/stabilized form of vitamin C in an advanced delivery system. You can find Vitamin C in the W+ intensive anti-aging treatment, Clarity Cleanser and Lotion, the W+ skin brightening range, Noctuelle night cream, Retinol Dermobooster and the Ultra-C Dermobooster.

Vitamin E – Good old favorite vitamin, delivering reliable and consistent results for as long as skin care has been around. Found in most plant seed oils, it is a potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin conditioning vitamin. Mostly used for anti-aging, you will find it in most Sothys intensive anti-aging treatments and anti-aging products especially in the Hydra3 range, the Ultra-C and the Retinol Dermoboosters.

Vitamin F – also known as essential fatty acids, omegas 3 and omega 6. Essential for repairing and reinforcing the skin barrier to prevent excessive moisture loss. Adds softness and suppleness to the skin, excellent as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Particularly recommended for damaged skin, dried out, sensitized and flaky skin. Essential in an anti-aging skin care routine. Found in just about all Sothys intensive anti-aging treatments, skin care creams, serums and especially in the Nutritive cream and Lipid Elixir.
